My original online screen name was SoovHappy, which stands for So Very Happy. It was shortened by friends to Soov (long 'o'), hence the URL of my Etsy shop which is used as my shopping cart. I've been Soov since 2001 but my given name is Lisa. I answer to both.
I began this journey when I inherited all of my grandmother's beaded necklaces and found that I loved redesigning them to better suit my style. Friends suggested I sell my designs when I began feverishly shopping for more...and more...and more beads. My little project has grown into a full-blown obsession.
My goal? To provide handcrafted, quality jewelry and custom pieces to the savvy consumer. All of my jewelry arrives at your door in special packaging, whether a gift for yourself or someone else. I adore reworks of vintage, found or inherited pieces so please contact me should your great grandmother have left you something with gorgeous stones that you'll never wear. I feel strongly that those can be given a rebirth; allowing you to wear your grandmothers' or great aunts' necklace while making you the cool relative that won't pass on something to your dear daughter that leaves them wondering what in the world you were thinking. I live just outside of Fort Worth, Texas. I'm a wife, a mother and a full time Office/HR manager for a car dealership that lives to play with beads and make anything over. Anything. I have been known to stop when I see something on the curb that creates a vision. One person's trash is another person's treasure. That kind of thing.
